We are a 'not for profit' organisation who's aim is to enhance and promote high standards of professionalism within the
Social Care field, in order to ultimately improve Social Care provision.
Our purpose is:
'To enhance and promote high standards of professionalism and Social Care Management with the aim of improving
Social Care Services through supporting Care Professionals at all levels within Social Care.
Our membership aims to reflect the diversity across Domiciliary, Residential Care and Day Centre Management and Care Professionals within
Local Authority, Private, Independent and Commercial Social Care sectors, at all levels.
Our aim is to provide research, support, training and educational services to all Social Care Professionals to contribute to the raising of
standards in relation to the delivery of Social Care Services to those who access such services.

A few words from the Association of Social Care Professionals Chief Executive:
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the new Chief Executive of The Association of Social Care Professionals. It is a
very exciting time to join our Association with the constant and ever changing challenges that running a Residential Care Home, Domiciliary
Care Business or Day Care Centre presents. I too forward to working with you and on your behalf to meet both the opportunities and
I am very excited about the year ahead and hope you like our new website which is aimed at providing you with both informative and useful
features. We will continue to develop the benefits available to our Membership and seek to ensure that as Members you can contribute to
the development of your organisation to meet the increasing demands of Social Care Provision in the UK.
Over the next few months I will be working closely with my colleagues to update and enhance our development plans for the future work of
the ASCP and to ensure we maintain, if not improve, the benefits to our Members. We are also working on a variety of Training and
Professional Education resources and in particular the launch of our Diploma in Social Care Management. We would also like to establish
and develop a range of networking seminars with guest speakers from both inside and external to the Social Care field.
I am delighted to have this opportunity to work with you and look forward to sharing future updates and developments and also meeting
many of you over the coming years.
